    Barcelona has a very active and varied nightlife that suits all tastes, with Thursday nights being the highlight of the week for university students. Some of the most popular clubs for students here are Razzmataz, Opium, Sala Apolo, Downtown o Sutton.

    The best museums and galleries for learning about Barcelona’s history are the Museum of the History of Barcelona (MUHBA), the Museum of the History of Catalonia, and the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB). Other contemporary museums of great interest are the Moco Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA).

    Barcelona has gastronomy from one end of the city to the other, with a very varied gastronomic offer that suits all tastes. Some of the best areas to eat are La Barceloneta, El Born and L’Eixample.

    Barceloneta is the city’s largest and busiest beach. There are other beaches such as El Bogatell, Mar Bella or Nova Icària, where you can enjoy more peace.

    Many university students stay in Zona Universitaria – Les Corts, where most of the city’s universities are located. The closest residential neighbourhood to this area is Pedralbes. Other students who prefer to be closer to the centre live in areas such as Gràcia, Ciutat Vella or Poblenou.
